15th Street, Two Harbors – Planned Road Closure Begins Week of September 21
NOTICE
15th Street (CSAH 27) in the City of Two Harbors will be closed to through traffic between 7th Avenue (Hwy 61) and 20th Avenue (CSAH 28). August Omtvedt Blvd will be closed to through traffic between 15th Street and 11th Street (CSAH 26)
When
Beginning: Week of September 21
Ending: November 6, 2026
Purpose
Lake County’s contractor, KGM Contractors will be repairing and reconstructing stormwater drainage structures and resurfacing the street.
Traffic Impacts
A detour route will be posted on 7th Avenue (CSAH 11), Shoreview Road (CSAH 11), Cardinal Road (CSAH 28) and 20th Avenue (CSAH 28). August Omtvedt Blvd will not be closed until later in the project schedule and may be used as an alternate route until it is closed.
Property Access
15th Street will remain open to residents and property owners at all times; access to 15th Street will be available via Battaglia Blvd, 9th Avenue or 14th Avenue. Driveway access will remain open, except when impacted by adjacent paving or pavement removals; access restrictions are anticipated to last less than an hour each occurrence. Some driveway aprons will require repair or replacement, and additional access limitations may be necessary. Project personnel will be in contact with affected property owners.
