Lax Lake Road Closure Scheduled for July 6

NOTICE
Lax Lake Road (CSAH 4) between Airport Road (CSAH 3) and Forest Highway 11 (CSAH 5) will be closed to all traffic beginning July 6, 2026.  Details as follows:

Beginning: July 6
Ending: July 10

Purpose
The closure is necessary for Cliffs Northshore Mining to complete a permitted utility replacement project across Lax Lake Road.

Traffic Impacts
A detour route will be posted, utilizing MN 61 and Outer Drive/Penn Blvd (Forest Highway 11) through Silver Bay.
